Ever tried to get a refund from shopee.com Philippines?
What a bureaucratic nightmare!
They told me that they couldn't refund to G-Cash account from which the payment was made nor could they make an online payment to a bank account.
They told me that I needed to create a ShopeePay account first using the Shopee App (which I didn't have, as I use the website) and then link a bank account to the ShopeePay account before a refund could be made.
Nothing is very clear about their refund policy. Even the staff are confused and communicate very poorly.
Eventually the refund was paid to my linked bank account. But what a hassle! Very poor communications by Shopee (Philippines).
Lazada, on the other hand, is much better. Lazada refunds promptly to the credit card used to make the purchase.
